Hey Their Georgie Girl

Some people may know the catching song, Hey their Georgie Girl. Well hear at Georgies Three Foot Farm we use it as out "theme" song!, Unfortunately our Georgie girl has moved on to the big pasture in the Sky. She was a sweet, kind and very spirited soul, Always wanting to please even thought she had her moments. Georgie passed away due to the Lyme treatment. The lyme treatment involved a catheter placed into her jugular. IF the medicine for any reason leaks out and gets under her skin it could cause organ failure. This is indeed how Georgie passed, Due to organ failure. Here at Georgies three foot farm we are sad but also happy that she is no longer in pain. Well it's been almost a month since i last posted, Boston has settled in nicely and Georgie is absolutely in love with him!, He is such a ham and i love him dearly!, We already have a 3 day trip planed in July. We will be going to Acadia with a ridding group called "Mainely Gaiters" They all have gaited horses, weather it's TWH, MFT, ASB, Or like Boston, An American Racking Horse. After a few hours of research i have come to find that Boston is part saddlebred and part Tennessee Walker, I was blown away at this discovery. We will keep you all posted on Bostons progress. As for Georgie she has been great, Letting people ride her again and she's full of life. I feel that Georgie was just depressed :)

The Day of Arrival

So it's 7:32 AM, and less then 12 hours before "BB" A/K/A "Bostons Blackout Boy arrives!, i'm very excited to see how they both will do and can't wait to get photos of my new guy with my old girl. I haven't slept at all in the last 30 hours because i'm so excited for his arrival, Theirs so much to do but so little time to do it! Lets keep our fingers crossed everything will go safe, smoothly, and fast! I'll be on later to post photos and tell you about his reaction towards his new girl friend!

Long Time Posting

So it's been almost a month since i last posted, I haven't posted because i thought we were going to sell Georgie girl and get a new Horse, well lets just say it didn't turn out like that, Since Georgie Girl did almost end up in slaughter be decided to keep her because we wouldn't risk knowing she wouldn't be taken care of. So we did just buy another Tennessee Walker he just turned 10 and stands at 16.0H He comes tomorrow night and can't wait to see how Georgie Girl will like her new boyfriend. HE a gentle giant and i hope once they become friends Georgie will also become better on the trails and at ridding since she will have a smaller rider on her which will be my mother, We are also looking for a horse trailer so we can bring both of the horses to rides with the riding group we belong in, It's been a rough but great month and can't wait to post pics of the two Walkers together, I will post pictures of my test trial in the "photo Album" selection, Oh and before i forget the new Tennessee Walker we are getting is named Boston but i know i'll end up calling him Boston Boy, so instead of saying it all out, We will call Georgie Girl "GG" and Boston Boy "BB". We can't wait to give you more updates and tell you how it all goes, We will also be building another shelter with three walls just for them to get out of the rain and harsh weather during the cold winter months. 

Amazing Day

Amazing day with Georgie!, I was looking threw some DVD's that a friend let me barrow and i found a gaited horse DVD made by Down-under horsemanship. I watched it for about an hour and went down to the barn telling myself i would mess up and fail, and I need another horse and then that horse will be sold because it will back slide and etc. Anyways i got down to the barn and did everything Clinton Anderson did with the Gaited ground work...... all i have to say is........... OMFG!!!! IT WORKED!, Georgie was so alive today moving her feet like she's never done before She picked up on everything i did that i saw Clinton do!. Today was a AMAZING day and i can't wait to work with her more tomorrow..... Oh. and did i mention I was able to take Georgie out into the back field and did the running-Walk and a little bit of cantering?. Oh well i did. Well.... i don't think it was "I" I think it was me and Georgie as a team. So instead of I did it, Lets change it to "We did it" :) 

Woke up on the wrong side of the stall

So i went down to feed Georgie Girl and she was in the worst mood!, She was kicking her door wanting to come out she was extremely pushy, and didn't want anything to do with me, She kicked at her grain spilling it everywhere! When i went to pet her she bit me. I did correct everything she did wrong and was able to pet her before i left, Hopefully tonight she will be good so i can ride!.

Supper

So today i tried a new way to give Georgie her grain because she was having troubles and would choke on it, So i decided to make her "soup", She enjoyed it just as much! I even recorded a video so you all could see.
